In September 2023, Council 7515 will add a parish Family of Faith program to our existing family programs: Baptisms, Food for Families, and Keep Christ in Christmas.
Family of Faith is an adaptation of the Supreme Council featured Family of the Month program. Our Family of Faith will be chosen on a quarterly rather than a monthly basis. Both programs are identical, however, in their aim to recognize and honor a parish family that exemplifies Christian family values and actively lives them out in their daily lives. This recognition will serve as a source of inspiration for other families in our faith community and promote the importance of strong Christian values within the family unit.
The criteria for selecting a Family of Faith will include their active involvement in the parish community, such as serving in various ministries and participating in parish activities. By emphasizing the importance of engagement in parish life, we hope to encourage more families to become more active members of our faith community and foster a sense of belonging and unity.
Families will be chosen on a quarterly basis and announced from the pulpit before Mass and in the Sunday Bulletin, giving them the recognition they deserve. Additionally, the selected family will receive a $100 restaurant gift certificate.
The committee responsible for selecting the deserving families comprises Father Will Monahan, Council Family Director Lou Penge, and Grand Knight Walter Burek.
